Specialist Course for Prevention of Epidemics

Applications

Specialist course for Prevention of Epidemics is open to a team consisted of more than 15 members.

Individual applications are not accepted.

Eligibility

[Work Experience]

  • Mid- and High-level Health Policymakers in a foreign country who can make decisions on making policies within the institution
    [Priority order]
    (1) Personnel related to establishing national epidemics management system
    (2) Personnel working in a central government department of disease control and prevention
    (3) Personnel working in a local government department of disease control and prevention
  • Must have more than 10 years of experience in working in an institution related to disease control and prevention
    (Recommended) More than 5 years of working experience in quarantine or disease control
  • At least 1 of the team member must have access to the monitoring system on the national number of infected patients and deaths.
  • (Recommended) At least 1 of the team member should be an epidemiological investigator.


[Language & Proficiency]

  • Must be fluent in English (must be able to communicate in English during consulting sessions with a specialist)
  • Must be skilled in paperwork (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
    - Personal laptops are necessary in order to participate in online video sessions.


[Immunization]

  • Must provide documentation of current immunizations (see “Required Documents”)
  • (Recommended) COVID-19 vaccinated

  • All documents must be in English or translated in English and be authorized.
    • List of Participants (Full name, working institution, job title, period of work experience, email address)
    • English CV / Resume
    • Copy of highest degree certificate
    • Proof of Employment (Past & Present : you must prove that you satisfy the qualifications stated in "Eligibility" section)
    • Copy of Passport
    • Self-portrait photo (Passport-type)

    • (over 90 days) VISA Application Form  (Download)

Approval Process

  1. Email inquiry
  2. Discussion about schedule and course details
  3. Approval Announcement
  4. VISA Application (if applicable) & Verification of immunization status (mandatory)
  5. Payment of Training fee (2 weeks prior to starting date)
  6. Arrival to Korea & Beginning of Training
