Introduction of Department
Severance Medical Imaging Department consists of various segmented areas including thorax, abdomen, urogenital organ, neurology, musculoskeletal system, pediatrics, vascular intervention, breast, and nuclear medicine.
For each area, our competent medical staff not only provide consultation and reading but also are largely engaged in direct treatment including interventional procedures.
Our Medical Imaging Department was the first in Korea to perform arterial stent-graft procedure for aortic aneurysm or aortic dissection, as well as neurointervention and cerebral aneurysm intervention.
In addition, we have developed the world’s first therapeutic technique to destroy solid tumors in the liver by inputting holmium, a radioisotope.
