On June 30, Yonsei University Health System and Yoido Full Gogpell Church held an signing Ceremony about MOU for mutual cooperation about Pyongyang Heart Hospital for the establishment and effective operation of North Korea health care support.
Full Gospel Church Foundation aimed to build a Pyongyang hospital with 1 basement level and 7 floors above ground. however, Pyongyang Heart Hospital has been discontinued since 2010.
Meanwhile, in 2018, construction resume was agreed, and process of obtaining an exemption from sanctions against North Korea for building materials. Accordingly, this MOU was signed for mutual cooperation on operations to be carried out after the hospital was built.
The MOU was attended by Yoon Do-heum(head of Yonsei University Health System ), Park Young-hwan(director of Cardiovascular Hospital) Jeon Woo-taek(director of Yonsei Institute for Global Health), Park Yong-beom(director of the Center for Health and unificaiton of Korea) Lee Young-Hoon(Senior Pastor of Yoido full Gospell church), Kim Ho-Seong(Pastor of Yoido full Gospell Church), Park Gyeong-pyo(Elder of Yoido Full Gospell Church), Kim Doo-Young(Elder of Yoido Full Gospell Church), Kim Soo-Cheol(Elder of Yoido Full Gospell Church), and Paik Nak-Gyun(Pastor of Yoido Full Gospell Church)
