[Global Development] Developing countries' COVID-19 response capacity enhancement Program
Global Development Center conducted a project to provide non-face-to-face education to medical personnel in more than 100 countries that are having difficulty responding to the spread of COVID-19. This project, supported by KOICA, is a project to create video education materials and conduct expert consulting to deal with COVID-19 in developing countries and strengthen their capabilities.
contents consist of wearing personal protective equipment, infection control, emergency room safety management, specimen collection and transfer, COVID-19 diagnostic test, and clinical characteristics and treatment of COVID-19. It has been made accessible to medical personnel in developing countries by using various tools.
Moon-gyu Kim, director of the International Development Center, who is in charge of the project, said, "The data related to the COVID-19 virus have increased, but there are still a lot of data tailored to the situation of developing countries." We will make a Contact System to communicate closely, and we hope that Korea's exemplary response to COVID-19 will help these countries.”
