Oral cancer & Reconstruction

Clinical Procedures

Fellows for oral cancer & reconstruction part will experience the following procedures during their clinical training :


- Mandibulectomy

- Maxillectomy

- Neck dissections

- Robot-assisted surgeries

- Microvascular reconstruction

- Third molar extractions

- Cyst enucleations

- Dental implants, etc.

Research training

You will have opportunities to get involved in research activities. We have tremendous resources, including extensive procedural databases, statistics, and access to the medical library and e-journals.

With guidance of your faculty mentor, you will pursue short or long-term projects and submit abstract to domestic or international meetings. You will also be able to publish highly recognized surgical journals with the cooperation with faculties, Korean and international fellows.

Academic Activities

Trainees will be able to participate in :


 

1.Surgical Grand Round(once a week, Friday)
 

2.Clinico-pathologic Conference (once a month, every 2nd week Tuesday)
 

3.Annual congress of Korean oral and maxillofacial surgeons
 

4.Annual congress of Korean maxillofacial plastic and recustructive surgeons
